Staff Appreciation Week:  May 7th - 11th

Dear Parents,

“Lights! Camera! Action!” It's that time of year again to show our appreciation to our wonderful staff at Attea and Springman. You may recall some of the exciting events last year wih our “baseball” theme: gifts for the staff like the baseball hat, a hot dog luncheon, a student baseball signing and spirit week etc.

This year's theme will be: OSCAR Night, and we have planned another exciting week to show our appreciation to our “star-studded staff”. Once again, each day will kick off with a raffle winner and trinket in their mailbox, a snack in the teacher's lounge, and a daily theme  for the students to show off their spirit (see schedule below). There will be a movie star luncheon for the staff on Wednesday (May 9th) and an extra special Goodie-Bag prize for them on Friday to wrap up this amazing week.

***STUDENT'S NOTE: Please print off the attached OSCAR  (one for each of your favorite teachers/staff members). Fill it out, cut it out, and bring it to the school office. You can turn these in anytime before and during Staff Appreciation Week. They will hang on the walls to acknowledge your appreciation to these staff members.

    Staff lounge – Breakfast in the lounge

Kid Spirit – Wacky Hair Day...be a wild movie star***Students-don't forget to print off OSCAR awards for each of your favorite staff

Tuesday:    “Roll Out the Red Carpet”   …because you prepare our students to be great

            Mailbox – Lanyards that say: You're A Star....”You Are a Star Performer”

            Staff lounge – fresh Blondie Brownies and Cookies

Kid Spirit – Wear your Favorite Performer: a team, person, band, movie etc

Wednesday:    “”Spotlight    …since you always shine

            Mailbox – Attea/Sprgmn mini-flashlight... “You Deserve the Spotlight”

            Staff luncheon – Catered by Salerno: parents donate salads and desserts

                             Also, box of peanuts in lounge for snacking

Kid Spirit – Sunglasses Day

Thursday:    “And the Winner is...You”   for all your hard work and dedication

            Mailbox – Starburst Candy....”You Burst with energy ”

            Staff lounge – Ice cream novelties

            Kid Spirit – Bling Day!!! Get all decked out to show the STAR in you

                      Fancy or just COOL...wear the stuff that gets you noticed!!

Friday:         “It's a Wrap”  …Thanks for another great year!

            Mailbox – Attea/Sprgmn “Goodie-Bag”... “thanks for being part of a great cast”

            Staff lounge –popcorn and candy

            Kid Spirit – “Calling all extras!”...wear your school colors/apparel

***PARENTS....you can help too: We are looking for volunteers and donations. Let us know how you would like to help.

Donations: Cash, gift cards, movie or show tickets, sports game tickets, any items you may have to raffle off (your small business, or things you  never opened that you think they would like)

Volunteers/Bakers: Set up Decorations (Friday, May 4th after school), Clean up Decorations (Friday, May 11th after school),

Set-up/Serve/Clean-up Teacher Luncheon (Wednesday, May 9th lunchtime), volunteers to make popcorn Friday morning in teacher's lounge, bring dessert or salad or pop/water for teacher luncheon, Purchase paper goods for luncheon – OSCAR theme,  bake brownies or cookies for sweets on Wednesday

We Need Props to help decorate both schools (Teacher lounge and front area): director's chair, old tin film canisters, movie posters, old fashioned mega phone, movie star cutouts, anything else you can think of
